2017 was another great season for the Club across all our sides as our season review below shows:
Lead by James Perchard in his 6th season as captain of the side, the 1s successfully won the newly reformed CI League on the final day of the season in dramatic fashion. This is the 4th year in a row that the Club has won the premier competition in the island.
The Dolphin Hotel in Gorey once again held the Farmers Cricket Club Annual Dinner on 20th October for what was another fantastic evening celebrating the Club’s achievements during 2017.

The recent bar opening on Saturday 25 February was a roaring success, with players, friends and family of the Club gathering to toast our new venture.
With fabulous food (as always!), a complete sell out of the Island’s famous Liberation Ale and celebrations continuing right through until closing time, we’d say the bar has well and truly been christened!
With the cricket season fast approaching, there has been plenty going on behind the scenes at Farmers Field with Groundsman Jim Perchard overseeing the construction of the long awaited and much discussed addition of a fully licensed bar to the Pavilion.
The Official Bar Opening event will be at 18h30 on Saturday 25 February and we invite all members to celebrate this fantastic addition with us at the Clubhouse. The bar is stocked with an excellent range of alcoholic and soft drinks and the Club will be providing complimentary snacks and nibbles.
Together with the recent appointment of Sarah Watson as Social Committee Chair, we hope to see the Social side of the Club develop in 2017 so watch out for details on upcoming events.
